I traveled to Saint Lucia in early July, which was extremely courageous, but I had amazing weather! I had a beautiful five minute rain shower each morning while at breakfast, which made an incredible rainbow appear in between the Pitons!
Ladera Resort I stayed at one of the most luxurious, well-know, five star resorts in Saint Lucia, Ladera Resort. The view from this resort, is one of the best on the island, as it sits nestled between the famous volcanic spires, The Pitons, which are an UNESCO World Heritage Site! The view is outrageous, and one of the most stunning I have seen in the Caribbean! I stayed in Hilltop Dream Suite X VI, which is an incredible suite that only has three walls, and the third wall being open to my private plunge pool that opens up to the view of the Pitons! All of the furniture and columns were hand-carved into magnificent masterpieces. The view around the entire resort was just breathtaking, the staff was so kind and prompt, the food was absolutely delicious, not to mention the incredible view from their restaurant, Dasheene! Though I wasn't right on the beach, staying in my suite was all about the view of the Pitons! Beings I stayed at Ladera, I had access to enjoy the beautiful five star resort & beach area of Sugar Beach at any time, which is one of the most stunning beaches in Saint Lucia with it being right in between the Pitons! I had the best of both worlds, staying at Ladera Resort, and I would highly recommend staying here!
Exploring Saint Lucia I rented a car and explored around the lush, desolate island of Saint Lucia! Driving the roads was quite interesting, as you drive on the left side of the road, and operate the car on the right side of the car! Needless to say, the hairpin turns and narrow roads on the sides of cliffs, made for a nerve-racking drive! As I explored around the island, my favorite spots were Anse Chastanet, Anse Mamin, Sugar Beach, Soufriere Beach, and Pigeon Island! Instead of making the risky drive to these places, I would recommend taking a water taxi! It would be much easier, and a cool way to explore!
